Ecological Restoration Lead Specialist opening

Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation job opening

JDCF seeks an Ecological Restoration Lead Specialist to work with our Driftless Stewardship Initiative located in the scenic Driftless Area of northwest Illinois. We’re looking for a motivated individual who can help lead our stewardship and restoration work with integrity, collaboration, creativity, and insight. The Lead Specialist works closely with the Director of Ecological Restoration, ecological restoration crew members, and private landowners to steward natural heritage and Indigenous cultural heritage on public and private conservation lands throughout the region.

JDCF’s mission is to preserve and steward land and water for the lasting well-being of all people and wildlife. We strive to achieve this mission through three primary program areas: Land Protection, Land Stewardship, and Education. Our work in these three areas is enriched through active and emerging partnerships with the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin and the Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma, and we seek to build relationships with other tribes whose ancestral homelands include northwest Illinois.

To apply, send cover letter, résumé, and three professional references to: jjohannsen@jdcf.org.
