Meet the founding members
The conservation land trust community established the Illinois Association of Land Trusts in 2005 with a goal of providing a collaborative, peer-supported statewide network in order to fill the ever-widening gap left by the lack of funding and capacity at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Renamed Prairie State Conservation Coalition in 2007, PSCC is a nonprofit organization that provides a collective voice for land conservation, offers educational, collaborative and networking opportunities, and advocates for strong statewide land conservation policies that benefit all Illinoisans.
Today, PSCC serves over 40 conservation land trusts and conservancies, watershed groups, wildlife refuges, forest preserves, conservation districts, restoration companies, and others that are doing vital work across the state.
